Most Beautiful Baby
I did something I regret. I entered my precious child in Regis and Kelly's "2008 Beautiful Baby Search." They're giving away $125,000 in college funds to the winner, which they will not announce until February 11th. Being a hopeful, new, doting, prouder-than-a-peacock Mom, of course my son will win. Why wouldn't he? Have you seen his award winning cheeks? Well...I emailed his photo in 2 weeks ago and it hasn't even made the website baby gallery yet. Trust me- I check several times- daily...nightly... Anyhoo, I am losing hope that he will get the grand prize if he hasn't even made the stinkin' gallery yet. And you can hate me for saying this, but I now doubt my fair skinned, dark blonde, blue eyed baby is going to be granted a free ride to college. Why, that would just be an outrage.

I entered Jacob at about that age and Adam too. And let me tell you, I still get comments on how. fricking. adorable. the pictures I mailed were. AND my kids are most gorgeous, hands down. LOL. They didn't even make the website either. I didn't even bother with Elizabeth this year, but I wonder if she would have gotten in just by being dressed in pink?
Yes, our little boys are at a disadvantage, but getting dates when they are older won't be one of them.
He SHOULD be on the web gallery. Give me their number and I will call them and give them a piece of my mind. Wait....give your MOM their number and she can call them and give them a....uhhhhh.....well, never mind...

Maybe they're just publishing all the 'also ran's, because they know if they put up your son, everyone will look at him and say, "Party's over. There's your winner. No point in entering now." Then they get no more entries.

Lynsey, you must know that they can't show your baby's picture before the end of the contest. If they do, everyone else will just throw their arms up and admit defeat, and the contest will essentially be over. Everyone else will realize the futility of sending in a picture, because the winner is obvious...and nobody else will participate.
Therefore, they have no choice but to hold him out of the limelight...until it's too late and they can declare him the winner.
Ohhhh, John is so RIGHT. How come I didn't think of that???

Very, very cute. Yes, you must frame it. Did you take that? I have tried in vain to get good pics of my kids feet and they are always washed out or too dark.
